VELUX DKL Blackout Roller Blind — Description
The original, manual VELUX DKL blackout roller blind provides total darkness at any time of day. It effectively blocks light. It is the perfect choice for a bedroom or children’s room. This roller blind is designed to fit popular window models, such as VELUX GGL or GGU. It fits every size (for example: MK04, M06, S06).
The roller blind is made of a 3-layer fabric (OEKO-TEX® certified). It moves in slim aluminum side guides (available in silver or white). These guides prevent light from entering at the edges. You can stop the roller blind in any position. To stop heat in the summer, we recommend using this product with the VELUX MHL external awning blind.
If, besides complete blackout, you need better thermal insulation, choose the VELUX FHC Pleated Blind (honeycomb structure). Does this roller blind fit a VELUX GGL 304 3059? What does 3059 mean? Because I see I don’t have to select it to match the blind?
Yes. If you see on the window’s nameplate the type GGL, size 304 (equivalent to M04) and variant code 3059 or newer 3070, you can select the roller blind in our configurator by choosing the size that matches your window. The variant code is not required for correct blind selection, but it is useful for ordering spare parts compatible with your specific VELUX window.
I have a VELUX GGU MK04 window with code 0070. Which roller blind should I choose?
Windows marked GGU with variant code 0070 are white polyurethane windows that are moisture-resistant. Simply select size MK04 in our configurator. The roller blind will fit regardless of whether your window has code 0070, 0060, 0062 or 0066.
Does the configurator support older sizes like 304, 306, 408, and 606?
Yes. Older sizes 304, 306, 308, 406, 408, 606 have equivalents in the modern naming system, for example 304 = M04 and 606 = S06. Select the appropriate size from the list in our configurator, and the roller blind will fit both older and newer generations of VELUX windows.
